Integration guides Neukölln in the state framework program
The goal of our work is to make everyday life easier for people with a refugee or migration background in the Neukölln district through language and cultural mediation in different life situations. We provide access to projects and institutions in the district Neukölln and facilitate social participation and integration.
The team is characterized by multilingualism, a high level of commitment and flexibility. In addition, we have the necessary intercultural competence, be it through mastery of the language of the migrants, but above all through our own practical knowledge as migrants or refugees to Germany ourselves. We are a team of sixteen women and men and we speak sixteen languages. With our intercultural and social understanding, we work for you and with you. This support is free of charge for you, anonymous and confidential.
We offer the following services:
- Support for refugees and newly immigrated people in the district through language and cultural mediation in the languages listed
- Support for professionals in community accommodation, social facilities, offices, authorities and institutions through language and cultural mediation
- Referral advice to the support services in the district and to the specialist and advice centers (social advice, women's advice, advice centers for those affected by domestic violence, etc.)
- Language mediation for appointments in authorities such as job centers, district offices, immigration authorities, etc.
- Mediation to specialist services and doctors as well as organization of doctor's appointments
- Support with daycare and school registrations, cooperation with welcome classes
- Language mediation in parent talks, support for school social work
- Assistance in finding language courses and educational opportunities
